Automation in the receipt of materials at the distribution center in a food industry

The present study aims to propose to the Distribution Center studied, improvements in the part of receiving materials in order to reduce the conference time with the intention of avoiding errors that can cause losses and rework. In order for the work to be developed, the data collection procedure through qualitative research was used, and will count on the involvement of collaborators from the CD who will assist in improvements for the development of the spreadsheet. For the development of the research, data demonstrated through invoices, tables, spreadsheets and time statements were used to help the reader understand and interpret the data. The employee's reception time was timed and studied in the old and current methods to verify the gains with this new procedure. With the automation in the process, it brought more accuracy of the information avoiding errors or mistakes and bringing greater reliability to the responsible sector. With the analysis of the data it is possible to affirm that there were improvements in the part of the receipt of materials, reduction of the conference time, avoiding errors that can cause losses and rework. As a caveat, existing resources were used, with no need for investment in revenue by the company.
