Nursing care for pregnant drug users during prenatal care: a scope review

Identify nursing care for pregnant women who use drugs during prenatal care. Scope review study whose purpose was to gather knowledge on the subject through a bibliographic survey in scientific databases BVS, PUBMED and SCIELO, in the publication period from 2018 to 2023, using the descriptors drug abuse, pregnant women, prenatal care and nursing. Fourteen studies were used for this research, following the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the studies indicated possible nursing interventions in prenatal care for pregnant drug users. The nurse is responsible for numerous interventions during prenatal care, including early detection of drug use and guidance on the consequences for the mother and fetus. The study shows that currently, prenatal care can be considered unsatisfactory to serve this public, requiring the qualification of professionals.
